Fans Concerned for Goron Yunobo’s Fate in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Pre-Release Content

Due to Goron Yunobo’s absence from all pre-release content for Breath of the Wild, fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are concerned for his well-being. With less than a month until the game’s release, anticipation is growing among fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Fans have begun to make assumptions about the game’s plot and the differences between it and Breath of the Wild as a result of the third trailer for Tears of the Kingdom. Fans are concerned that something dreadful might have happened to the young Goron Yunobo following the events of Breath of the Wild due to one character’s absence from all pre-release content.

The fans of Tears of the Kingdom are concerned about Yunobo

Content creator Aero on Twitter questioned why Yunobo was absent from the buildup to Tears of the Kingdom, which brought the topic to the attention of the community.

To emphasize their argument, they quoted Nintendo of America’s tweet, which showed the official artwork of some of Link’s Breath of the Wild pals, like Riju, Sidon, and even Rito Tulin. As Tears of the Kingdom progressed, fans started to offer hypotheses about why Yunobo departed. According to a theory on Twitter, “Listen, so Theory here probably not the first to look about it, but I think Gorons are having sidelined fast because they won’t have a tear. The tear Ganondorf has is 100% the Goron tear.”

This makes perfect sense given that the Gorons are frequently linked to the Goddess Din and, hence, the Triforce of Power. Given that fans are aware that Ganondorf will make a comeback in Tears of the Kingdom, it’s possible that Death Mountain and the Gorons were Ganondorf’s first targets after his resurrection. In the most recent Tears of the Kingdom video, Death Mountain can be seen briefly around 2:29, when some dark miasma is flowing from it rather than its regular blazing lava.

One more fan proposed that Yunobo might appear in the teaser off-screen while wearing the Boulder Breaker Goron Gear and standing behind Riju and Sidon. Regardless, it’s intriguing that Nintendo is deliberately withholding Yunobo from public view prior to the release of the game. Fans of The Legend of Zelda may have to wait until May 12, 2023, to find out the timid Goron’s final fate.
