Since the partnership is over, the website has said it would go down before or around August 1, 2023. Fans thanked the employees for their hard work over the years in nearly 1,000 comments on The Silph Road’s post on Reddit. “I struggle with what to say. Over the past seven years, The Silph Road has been an invaluable resource for many of us. It has been a wild ride. I appreciate everything. And best of luck to everyone in your future endeavors,” one supporter remarked.

Others lamented the fact that the Pokemon Go community as a whole would surely suffer greatly from The Silph Road’s closure. According to another trainer, the Silph Road was THE resource for discovering a local community for someone who needed help finding someone in their area using your Local Communities map. Many people worldwide, not just those who still play the game, will sincerely miss you.
