- Make sure the game is in borderless or windowed mode.
- Set the background frame rate to 1FPS.
- Relog away from the cave.
- Tab out after clicking the cave’s opening and wait until everything completely reloads at 1FPS.
- Talk to the NPC, then tab out once more.
- Wait till they start screaming, then go on with your mission.
For unexplained reasons, a “high ping” is said to cure the issue without any problems. Consider it one of the numerous mysteries surrounding Diablo 4. Players can only hope that cases like these won’t last too long with the arrival of Season 1 content.
