The creators of Blizzard have said that the company intends to reduce the power of the billion-damage builds that users of Diablo 4 have made viable. Since the release of Diablo 4 a little over a month ago, gamers have created a more significant number of spectacular builds than would be expected under the circumstances. Even the much-maligned Druid class has been praised for its achievements in some quarters.
This is particularly important because one player’s Druid build passed the barrier of delivering damage in the billions. According to the player in question, Moxsy, who posts videos on YouTube, the billion-damage character was made feasible by combining damage-buffing Legendary Aspects with the Druid’s Shred talent and Critical Strike guarantees. These overpowering builds won’t be around for much longer in competitive play.
Blizzard plans to take action against setups that do one billion or more damage in Diablo 4
Following the widespread dissemination of the video of Moxsy’s astounding achievement over the internet, Blizzard sent a statement to PC Gamer addressing the controversy. A company spokesperson told the magazine that such a high damage output for players should not be conceivable under any circumstances. As a result, the developers are working on a better balance of the experience concerning this aspect.
The spokesman for Blizzard said in a written statement, “This conduct is accidental. The group is discussing adjusting it shortly to achieve a better overall balance. In the video that can be seen below, Moxsy breaks out their Druid, who is capable of doing 1.8 billion damage:
Since the Blizzard representative did not provide a timeframe for when the balancing adjustments would go live, interested Diablo 4 players may still have some time to experiment with builds that do one billion damage or more. Interestingly, earlier this week, the feat of Moxsy was surpassed by that of another content provider. A YouTuber named Rob2628 was able to do undecillion damage, which is a figure with 36 zeroes after it, by using a highly specialized and incomprehensible Barbarian build. The developers at Blizzard have their job cut out for them in terms of making tweaks to the game’s balance for characters of this sort.
