Sentinels Bolster Roster with Koyful: Building a New Future for the ALGS North American LCQ
A week after cutting Keon ‘Keon’ Berghout from their roster, Sentinels announced their third player for the ALGS North American League Championship Series. Following the removal of Keon from the team, Sentinels announced that they would be making significant changes to their squad in preparation for the North American ALGS LCQ. The player, Cole ‘Rkn’ Prommel and Beau ‘RamBeau’ Sheidy, transitioned from Guard to Sentinels.
It has been four months since the team’s formation, and now only one member remains. This survivor goes by the name Rkn. Regarding the ALGS competition, the Sentinels have not had a successful season so far. After finishing outside the top 20 in the inaugural North American Arena League Season competition, the club removed its squad in January. It did not compete in any international tournaments throughout Year 3 of the competition.
The organization had barely improved since March, when it signed its new roster, as seen by the fact that it finished 15th in the second split and was just four positions away from qualifying for the Split 2 Playoffs. At this point in the season, Sentinels have one more opportunity to be eligible for the international level by placing in the top two in the ALGS North American More Chance Qualifier.
The Sentinels have signed a young player in preparation for the ALGS NA LCQ
The Sentinels have announced that they have signed Israel ‘Koyful’ Lawrence to complete their roster in preparation for the LCQ tournament. Koyful is a 17-year-old player who recently participated in the North American ALGS Challengers Circuit as part of an unsigned team. The player was part of the BLVKHVND esports organization until February 12, 2023, when the team was dissolved.
“Regardless of where we go as a team, I truly believe that Koy is the future of Apex Legends,” Rkn remarked. “I’m stoked to have him on board and to contribute to the development of the insane potential he has.” When they begin competing on July 21 for a berth in the ALGS Championship, the fans will have the opportunity to witness what the roster looks like when it is complete.
