Players of Overwatch 2 have discovered a way to make any hero walk, and Zenyatta’s motion is particularly unsettling as a result. The Overwatch Workshop is well-known for providing players with the means to add their imaginative ideas to the game. The most recent application of this feature sees everyone’s favorite Omnic monk strolling around like a zombie.
Given how many heroes have been added to the video game up to this point, Zenyatta is one of the older characters in Overwatch. He is also one of the most recognizable heroes due to the fact that he always sits while floating in the air rather than walking on the ground. However, all of that has changed as the most recent Overwatch patch has finally granted players the power to let him walk on his own two feet. The results, to say the least, are terrifying.
Zenyatta and Sigma zombie walk in Overwatch 2
Heroes such as Sigma, Zenyatta, and Echo can now use their feet to walk after utilizing the Workshop, as demonstrated on Twitter by ‘Proto_VI’ and ‘Faalund1’, who also displayed these heroes walking on the Starwatch map using this new ability. For Sigma, it’s encouraging to see that the barefooted Talon tank can genuinely make use of his Shaq-sized soles, whereas Echo is more well-known for being in the air due to her expertise in aerial combat. For Sigma, it’s encouraging to see that the barefooted Talon tank can make use of his Shaq-sized soles.
Fans were quick to point out how disturbed the animations appeared, and one player referred to the three of them as the “cursed walking trio.” Indeed, it is a name that fits quite well. Someone else remarked that Sigma gave the impression of about to begin performing the stanky leg. Someone else remarked, in reference to the impending PvE story missions, “Very cursed, but just wait until people find out that he’ll probably be standing up in some cutscenes too” (Very cursed, but wait until people find out that he’ll probably be standing up in some cutscenes too).
The fact that the Workshop now allows selecting heroes to walk raises the question of what additional new features the developers will be integrating shortly. This is especially true considering that the previously mentioned PvE missions bring much more potential content.
