Unveiling the Odd Interaction: Renata Glasc, Death’s Dance, and Self-Shutdown Bounty in League of Legends

According to a League of Legends player, the champion Renata Glass and the item Death’s Dance have an odd relationship that allows users to claim their shutdown bounty for themselves. The video game League of Legends is viral. It might be challenging to keep track of every interaction between each element within the game with over 160 champions, equipment, skins, and other things.

The slightest details can be used to produce compelling and game-breaking interactions. These exchanges frequently have the potential to give players a competitive advantage, which makes them risky to League’s integrity. Unfortunately, a brand-new interaction that breaks the game has been discovered involving the shutdown bounty system, the item Death’s Dance, and the support champion Renata Glass.

A player of League of Legends finds a means to collect their bounty

While playing Aatrox, Reddit user Pekka-master said they were able to claim their own 700 gold bounties. The video shows Aatrox bringing down the mid-lane tower with the help of his squad and Renata using her W: Bailout to provide Aatrox with extra attack speed. Obtaining a takedown while in this zombie form after dying enables the player to renew rather than entirely perish. This skill is part of the Bailout. The player receives a 700 gold shutdown when Aatrox eventually passes away when the Bailout expires, and the banner depicts Aatrox shutting down on his own.

According to Pekka-master, this interaction is brought on by the pairing of Renata Glasc’s W and Death’s Dance. Also, for those who don’t know, Death’s Dance transforms a part of the damage into a damage-over-time effect. It is unclear whether the player’s identity as Aatrox or the tower’s destruction had anything to do with this strange encounter. Many commenters have emphasized how “broken” this interaction is and how it will ruin the game if it isn’t changed soon.

One Redditor claimed to know why this occurred and provided their justification. It’s merely an extremely sloppy workaround to a prior bug where the identical repro would prevent Renata W from providing killing damage if your killer had already despawned (which typically occurs 4 seconds after the non-champion dies, whereas turrets despawn immediately on death). To catch the edge case, it now kills you and gives you credit for the kill. Unfortunately, the bounty system is put on top of this differently, so it cashes out the entire bounty to yourself. This gives no-kill and gold exp (which may be why this was believed to be a ‘decent’ solution to the earlier bug all).
