The Shifting Meta: Exploring Armor Changes and the Dominance of the ISO 45 in Warzone Season 4
In Season 4, Operator base health rose, although JGOD clarified why changes to armor damage affect the Warzone short-range meta more. According to JGOD, Warzone base operator health paralleled multiplayer until Season 4. To combat this, the battle royale had unique armor damage profiles where weapons dealt various amounts depending on whether an opponent wore armor.
When that armor is destroyed, the damage returns to the level of the multiplayer health system. However, the situation is complicated by Season 4’s base operator health increase of 50 in Warzone. Thankfully, JGOD took care of everything and clarified how the short-range meta altered following Season 4.
Which SMG in Warzone Season 4 is the best?
JGOD used the Lachmann 556 to demonstrate how the new armor damage system functions. The AR has a minimum value of 22 and a maximum of 33 for armor damage. The Lachmann 556’s maximum armor damage value was formerly 42, but the update reduced it by nine points, as it did for the majority of the game’s weapons. It hurts SMGs more than assault rifles because guns can only now provide a set maximum amount of damage inside 20 to 30 meters. The author writes, “The developers severely nerfed SMGS, which only allows the new SMG to shine, but it doesn’t have a significant impact on the TTK up close.”
The Warzone Season 4 time-to-kill statistics that JGOD released show that the ISO 45 dominates all other short-range options with a lightning-fast 603-millisecond TTK. JGOD acknowledges that some players still favor the Lachmann Sub but thinks the ISO 45 is preferable because of its faster TTK speed.
“The Lachmann Sub’s adaptability enables you to down and quench multiple persons. You can get two downs and possibly a hunger against the ISO.
Season 4’s top ISO 45 loadout
This is JGOD’s ISO 45 loadout, complete with attachment tweaking.
- Muzzle: Spiral V3.5 Flash Hider (-0.29, +0.25)
- Barrel: PTX Trainer (-0.26, +0.25)
- Stock: Demo Fade Tac (-1.81, -1.55)
- Rear Grip: EXP Shear (-0.58, -0.28)
- Magazine: 45 Round Mag
JGOD advised swapping out the EXP Shear Rear Grip for a red dot scope if gamers encounter similar difficulties because he doesn’t particularly like the weapon’s iron sights.
