Shotzzy’s SMG Loadout: A Potential Meta-Breaking Weapon in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play

Ranked Play in Modern Warfare 2 has already proven an enormously popular feature, with players vying to work their way into the top 250 spots in the leaderboards. But, the OpTic Texas CDL standout Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro may have seen a meta-breaking SMG take on the Vaznev in a very strict two-gun meta.

Two weapons, specifically the TAQ-56 AR and the Vaznev-9K SMG, have established themselves as the most dominant in the competitive scene of Modern Warfare 2, ranging from Call of Duty League battles down to the lowest levels of rated play.

LA Thieves star Sam ‘Octane’ Larew demonstrated that players could use other pistols by using the Kastov 545 class. However, finding a weapon that can match what they bring to the game will be quite challenging. Yet, on the side of the SMGs, even though many players have experimented with a variety of various firearms, the Vaznev has frequently ruled supreme. However, after the Season 2 Reloaded update, this may be subject to change.

The VEL 46 loadout MW2 used by Shotzzy

Shotzzy, one of the top SMG players in the world, used this loadout to get fried, so look at it and figure out how much damage you can do with it.

The following are the attachments that he makes use of:

  • Underbarrel: EDGE-47 Grip
  • Magazine: 30-Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Schlager Soldier Grip
  • Stock: Demo RXT Stock

And that wraps things up! Shotzzy has decided to use only some of the attachments that come with his VEL 46; however, this does offer you the option to tack something on if you feel like the look still needs to include something.

This gun has a decent rate of firing and very low recoil, so if you have played a lot of Call of Duty in the past, using this weapon will feel completely natural — make sure you try out a few attachments and see what working best for you. Additionally, this gun is reminiscent of the MP7 modeled after, with a decent rate of firing and very low recoil.
