Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo, in particular, had a poor performance for Sentinels during the VCT Americas match, which resulted in NRG Esports handing Sentinels a decisive 2-0 loss. Tarik ‘tarik’ Celik, a content creator for Sentinels, defended the player against criticism while co-streaming the match.
After a few days of taunting each other and building up anticipation, NRG and Sentinels faced off in a match that ultimately turned out to be one-sided, with NRG emerging victorious 2-0. The Sentinels put up a good fight on the first map, Lotus, but ultimately lost 13-10. However, they rapidly lost the second game, Icebox, winning only two rounds. After watching the match while co-streaming it, Sentinels creator Tarik checked Twitter to see how the organization and players reacted. After observing the rising star of the Valorant faction take the loss particularly hard, he rushed to TenZ’s aid.
“All excellent, buddy. Following his viewing of the tweet, Tarik said, “It be that way sometimes, bro.” “I am aware that he is receiving a lot of criticism at the moment. However, there is no cause for concern because it is only one match. There are still a great many games left to play.”
Tarik hype up TenZ after Sentinels loss
TenZ ended their game against NRG with a kill/death scoreline of 13/30 and a negative first-kill-to-first-death ratio across both maps. NRG won the esports match. As a result of the defeat, Sentinels now have a record of 1-2 and are winless on the year as a whole after falling to Fnatic in the first round of competition at VCT LOCK//IN.
Sentinels have recently implemented several position swaps and have had some troubles outside of the server, such as dealing with the consequences of their substitute Hunter ‘SicK’ Mims’ arrest and release from jail. As a result, the team has been going through some growing pains recently.
Fans and Tarik will be able to watch the Sentinels in their forthcoming video games to see whether they can turn their season around. On April 16, the club is scheduled to play against Leviatán. The team still has seven more matches to play in the regular season to increase its chances of advancing to the playoffs and competing in the VCT Masters Tokyo.
