Disguised Toast’s Streamer Squad Boosts Viewership for VCT Game Changers NA Circuit

The squad led by Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang was primarily responsible for the VCT Game Changers North America circuit reaching a significant viewership milestone on April 4. Kyedae “Kyedae” Shymko, Jodi “QuarterJade” Lee, Sydney “Sydeon” Parker, and Tenzin “TrulyTenzin” Dolkar are leading Disguised Toast’s second Valorant team, which the streamer unveiled on March 27.

The announcement was met with instant backlash from members of the Game Changers community, who believed that more seasoned players had been overlooked in favor of the streamer quartet. Disguised Toast responded by stating that the team players are taking the competition “very seriously” and that being a streamer should not prevent them from participating. Also, Sydeon added her voice to the conversation and refuted the notion that she and the other members of her streamer team took places that belonged to other players.

The contention made by Disguised Toast that this is an “under-served market” with a great deal of unrealized potential was immediately refuted when the VCT Game Changers NA open preliminaries got underway on April 4.

The Game Changers qualifiers have been drawing a remarkable audience

According to Streams Charts, the Twitch broadcast of Disguised Toast peaked at more than 62,000 concurrent viewers, while the channel of Valorant Americas cracked more than 27,000 concurrent viewers at one point. The opening day of the qualifiers took place on March 1.

Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter streamed the qualifier on her YouTube channel, which had more than 13,000 viewers watching at one stage. The viewership numbers mark an essential step forward for North America’s Game Changers competition. According to Esports Charts, the 2021 Game Changers North America Series 1 had the highest peak viewership of any match held in this region up until this point. This tournament only had 35,919 people watching it at its peak.

A match between SHIFT X and Disguised will take place in the decider stage of Group B on Wednesday, April 5, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. This is a match that is likely to attract even more viewers and will continue to break records.
