Fans of Pokemon Go have flocked to the website Reddit in order to criticize Niantic following the appearance of a Raid Box featuring Remote Raid passes in the in-game shop. Niantic’s nerfing of Remote Raids in April 2023 was met with an almost immediate boycott by Pokemon Go players. As a result, April 2023 has been the least popular month for Pokemon Go players.
Since the changes were made, there has been a significant decrease in the number of people participating in Pokemon Go’s raids. As a result, Niantic has introduced a new “Raid Box” that includes a star piece and two Remote Raid passes. On the other hand, gamers of the game do not appear enthusiastic about the boxes. As seen by the fact that they have taken to Reddit to criticize Niantic for even making them.
PoGo players make fun of Niantic over the Raid Box in the store
A user uploaded a screenshot of one of the new Raid Boxes that can be purchased in the game’s shop to the community forum known as TheSilphRoad. The box mentioned in the post may be purchased for 320 coins. And it contains two passes for the Remote Raid and one Star Piece. Users save 170 coins by buying this bundle instead of purchasing the products individually at the current price. However, many believe more than the new box is needed to convince them to purchase the game again and spend their money on it.
A user commented, “Still not giving them a cent,” in a response that was upvoted 338 times. “Still not giving them a cent.” Another user provided the following answer: “The message is crystal clear now that it has been released together with a more convenient box that contains green passes.” They are still emphasizing the new modifications, so I’m sorry, Niantic, but I won’t be purchasing it.
“This is still a scam. I don’t utilize star bits very much. Another person remarked, “Most of the time, I forget I have them.” Despite this, there are many who view it as a victory because it represents a reduction from the standard price. One responded, “It’s a decent value, as each of the three items is worth less than one hundred coins.”
