After 15 years apart, a Pokemon Scarlet & Violet trainer finally got to see their Charizard from FireRed, thanks to Pokemon Home. This trainer revealed that the reunion cost them roughly $340. Trainers of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet now get access to Pokemon Home after waiting a significant amount of time. As a result, they can transfer many new monsters into Generation 9.

Since then, gamers have recounted stories of how they reconciled with long-lost Pokemon partners stranded in previous Generation titles. These stories have been shared on various social media platforms. Now, one fan has provided a thorough account of their challenges while transferring their Charizard from Pokemon FireRed to Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, which ultimately cost them roughly $340.

Trainer of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is reunited with Charizard from Generation 3

The information was initially posted on the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet subreddit by Roxaschao. The original post’s title read, “My childhood FireRed Charizard stuck in Colosseum for the past 15 years gets reunited.”

They attacked two screenshots of their Charizard following them in the Pokemon Violet version. They confirmed that their companion originated in the Kanto region and boasted the Champion Ribbon. Additionally, they assaulted two screenshots of their Charizard in battle. Other fans voiced their excitement in the comments section about how ready they were to get their companion Pokemon up to date with the most recent games. Nevertheless, there were expenses incurred as a result of this process.

The original poster claims they had to spend “near to $340” on the necessary hardware to get their Charizard over. “…According to what they said, “Pokémon prices are crazy now,” purchasing items such as a Game Boy Advance, a DS Lite, and a 2DS. And a variety of Pokémon games appears to have been quite an expensive endeavor.

Although some fans have commented that they could have saved a small amount of money by employing techniques that aren’t entirely as legitimate. They have stated that they “don’t regret” the effort they put in to reunite with their partner Pokemon. Transferring Pokemon from earlier generations into the current game is even feasible. However, doing so requires a significant amount of work, and the right technology is remarkable in and of itself. In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, we hope that additional trainers who have the means to do so can reunite with their previous battle partners.
