Warzone users have voiced their displeasure with the most recent collaboration between The Boys and Warzone since one of the skins included in the package has been nicknamed the “new Roze.” This refers to the legendary Warzone skin that ruled Verdansk for most of the game’s history. Also, back in the day, nearly everyone utilized the Roze skin, which consisted of an all-black costume that allowed players to sneak up on their opponents or hide in the shadows.
Players experienced a significant increase in frustration as foes appeared seemingly from nowhere, out of the shadows, and quickly dispatched them while they attempted to defend themselves. Several changes were made to the Roze skin during the Caldera’s lifetime, but those changes only made that much of a difference much later in the cycle, when it became less effective. The elimination of obsolete skins like Roze, which came with the release of Warzone 2 (now just referred to as Warzone), appeared to end the issue, but it has since resurfaced.
The “new Roze” is black and noir
Warzone’s connection with the television show The Boys on Amazon Prime Video was made official on July 10, introducing Black Noir and Homelander and Starlight to the famous Call of Duty battle royale mode. The announcement was made on July 10.
However, many Warzone gamers and streamers were immediately concerned about Black Noir as soon as the skins were announced before Season 4 Reloaded. Also, “Black Noir will be Roze 2.0, I fear,” commented CDLPal on Twitter. “Black Noir” was as simple as Lyonz saying, “This will be the new Roze skin.”
While this was happening, the Call of Duty League organization Toronto Ultra issued a message claiming that “about to be Roze skin 8.0.” Clearly, members of the Call of Duty community have some significant reservations about the potential impact that Black Noir will have on the experience of playing the game; however, only time will tell if these reservations will prove to be justified or not.
