Pokemon fans are rushing around hours before the 3DS eShop closes

Players of Pokemon are racing against the clock to download Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter from the Nintendo 3DS eShop before the service is discontinued on March 27. Users of the 3DS and Wii U will no longer be able to redownload demos or free software after March 27, and they will also be unable to purchase digital games. The 3DS Pokemon transfer services, known as Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter, were among the programs that went missing.

Game Freak developed Pokemon Bank specifically for the 3DS games so that players could keep their Pokémon even after their in-game crates were full. Nevertheless, in order for users to move their Pokemon from Generation V DS games to later mainline entries, a program called Poke Transporter was required.

A person by the name of it on the Pokemon subreddit explained the uncertainty around the downloading of Poke Transporter. The majority of players are required to pay the Pokemon Bank subscription fee of $5 in order to gain access to the Poke Transporter program. “Yes, Pokemon Bank will be free when the 3DS eShop shuts down. However, it’s currently unknown if you will be able to download Transporter,” it commented. “Pokemon Bank will be free after the 3DS eShop shuts down.” Why take the chance? You must pay the $5!”

Users need to make sure that their Nintendo Network ID on their 3DS is linked to their Nintendo Account on their Switch before they can purchase a subscription to Pokemon Bank. Users will then be required to upload their credit card information or eShop code onto the Switch in order to purchase because Nintendo has discontinued the 3DS’s payment options.

Yet, there have been some players who have been able to avoid paying the $5 price. I was able to download it without paying anything or having an active subscription. According to GhalanSmokescale, “I was able to cancel out of the ‘buy a Subscription’ menu, and it allowed me to do it.”

In order for this approach to operate, users must have previously possessed either a Bank Pass or a free trial for Pokemon Bank. It was essential for users of the Nintendo 3DS, but Pokemon Home was necessary for users of the Nintendo Switch in order to keep their new pocket monsters safe. The timeframe for integrating the practical application with Scarlet & Violet is around the Spring of 2023.
