Former Pharma CEO Martin Shkreli Invests in Esports with Godel Gamers, Featuring LCS-Level Talent

Godel Systems, the name of Martin Shkreli’s infamous company, owns a League of Legends team. The public gave the owner of the gang the nickname “pharmabro”. Martin Shkreli served his five-year sentence consecutively and was released from prison in May of 2022. Prior to his arrest, he was a prankster in the pharmaceutical sector and earned the nickname “pharmabro” for his antics.

As the owner of a League of Legends team, his alias is that title, which he has maintained for himself. In January of 2023, the founders established the gaming organization named Godel Gamers. Godel Systems, Shkreli’s technology company, is responsible for the team’s existence and gives it its name.

Gödel Gamers dropped their whole squad and added a new group of players after their team failed to advance through the NACL qualifiers with a roster that included League of Legends streamer and content creator davemon. Unlike the old one, the new lineup also has LCS-level talent, giving them a very genuine opportunity to earn a spot in the Challengers League of North America.

Signing a potentially powerful League of Legends squad is Martin Shkreli

Shkreli has participated in League of Legends competitive gaming before. He signed a League of Legends squad back in 2016 and made an effort to assemble a group that could get into the LCS. This article also provided insight into Shkreli’s 2015 attempts to create a European team, which similarly fell short of making it to the top-tier tournament.

Also, during his stint with both organizations, a number of claims that he underpaid coaches and employees were made. Martin Shkreli has begun making investments in esports once again now that he has completed his term. Godel Gamers is receiving his direct support since he is working toward forming a team capable of competing in the Challengers League in North America. In addition, the Godel Gamers boast an impressive lineup.

This squad has all it needs to succeed, including management staff, a head coach, an analyst, and a starting lineup that consists of two professionals with vast experience competing at high levels of competition and three top collegiate athletes.
