FaZe Clan Unveils New Roster for North American Challengers League in Valorant

Before their first match of the season. FaZe Clan reveals their roster for the Valorant squad that they will use in the North American Challengers League, just a few hours prior to the scheduled game time.

The last North American Challengers team to reveal their Valorant roster was FaZe. They released a short animated film with the players’ names superimposed over five agents. Andrej “babybay” Francisty, Phat “supermen” Le Quan “dicey” Tran, and Kevin “poised” Ngo have all returned to the squad after being on the roster in 2022. Almost the entire roster has remained the same. Only Daniel ‘Rossy’ Abedrabbo, who goes by the alias Rossy, is a newcomer to the lineup.

Almost three hours before their opening match against G2 Esports in Challengers Split 1, the organization announces the roster they will use. On their Twitter account, FaZe appeared to recognize the late announcement and hinted that the organization had neglected to mention anything just before they revealed the roster.

Only poised and babybay and poised were listed as starting players before the announcement that supermen, dicey, and Xavier “flesh” Carlson were seeking new offers for the 2023 season. The statement was made on September 27 of this year.

In addition, the new member of FaZe, formerly of TSM and Immortals, Rossy, was a late signing for the organization. At the time, he played for an unsigned team, The Nation, in the Challengers Open Qualifiers, which took place only a few weeks ago.

Michael ‘Mas’ Smith, hired by FaZe as an analyst in the middle of the 2022 season, is now the team’s new coach. FaZe hired Smith in the middle of the 2022 season.

The new Valorant roster for FaZe Clan is as follows:

  • Andrej ‘babybay’ Francisty
  • Kevin ‘poised’ Ngo
  • Quan ‘dicey’ Tran
  • Phat ‘supamen’ Le
  • Daniel ‘Rossy’ Abedrabbo
  • Michael ‘Mas’ Smith (coach)

Following a somewhat successful 2022 season, FaZe will be eager to enhance its performance. The team finished in the top three in the VCT North American Stage 2 Challengers and the North American Last Chance Qualifier for the Valorant Champions 2022.

The organization has not yet met the requirements to participate in an international competition in Valorant, and Riot Games has not chosen to partner in the Americas league.
