Evil Geniuses Suffer Greatest Loss in Valorant History with 13-0 Defeat in VCT International League

The Evil Geniuses team was on the receiving end of the most significant loss in Valorant history during the VCT international league period. The team’s super week series against LOUD ended with LOUD winning the final map, Pearl, 13-0. During the first split of the VCT Americas league, Evil Geniuses has yet to get off to the best possible start. The North American squad has four games left to compete, and they currently hold ninth place in the table with only one victory.

In the second game of the VCT Americas super week, the squad competed against LOUD, now in first place in the league. Max ‘Demon1’ Mazanov’s outstanding Jett play helped Evil Geniuses win the first map of the series, Split, with a score of 13-3. This was a good sign for the rest of the series. Even on the second map, Haven, Evil Geniuses were able to keep it competitive, but LOUD ultimately prevailed with a score of 13-10. The last map, Pearl, was where Evil Geniuses cemented their place in the annals of VCT international league history. Also, LOUD emerged victorious in the match by a score of 13-0. This was the first blowout of this magnitude in the history of the VCT international leagues. The final score was 13-0.

The Evil Geniuses write a sad chapter in the annals of the VCT International League

In all of VCT Americas, VCT EMEA, and VCT Pacific, no other esports squad has failed to post even a single round during a league game. However, some teams had come close. KOI, for instance, was defeated by Giants 13-1 on Lotus during week 2 of the VCT EMEA, and Karmine Corp. has been unsuccessful on two consecutive occasions while receiving a score of 13-2. Talon Esports has now dropped two maps in the VCT Pacific with scores of 13-3 against them.

There have been several instances of 13-0 routs in the VCT open circuit, some of which have even taken place at international competitions. In the semi-final stage of the VCT Stage 3 Masters Berlin event in 2021, Gambit Esports defeated G2 Esports by a score of 13-0 on Icebox. This victory is historically remembered. On April 30, Evil Geniuses will continue their VCT Americas campaign as they face off against Leviatán in Week 5 of the competition.
