Asmongold, a well-known streamer, has expressed concerns about Blizzard’s incapacity to control its games, particularly World of Warcraft, effectively. He asserts that Blizzard is the only business unable to act, comparing their moderation to other games like Final Fantasy XIV or New World. Blizzard appears to have heard the cries of Asmongold and the World of Warcraft community since they have recently begun harshly punishing those found guilty of grief. Asmongold often maintains his composure despite continual trolling, saying he doesn’t want to provoke the griefers with retaliatory wrath. However, he uses these opportunities to berate Blizzard for its lack of restraint. The streamer even admits havinghaving griefed in the past, blaming it on the absence of penalties.

Thankfully, Blizzard appears to be changing for the better since another WoW broadcaster named Savix has admitted to forwarding the videos of Asmongold dealing with gamers who were insulting him to Blizzard. He claims that Blizzard swiftly replied and said they would act. Savix displays screenshots in a video showcasing the development of the crisis, revealing players who admit to receiving permanent bans for griefing. One person posted evidence of their suspension along with the message, “It’s over, guys.” The player in the issue claimed that Blizzard had “permabanned” him and that his character had vanished.

When people were finally barred for harassing him, Asmongold laughed and said, “Maybe we should give Blizzard another chance then.” “If the griefers are going to get banned, then maybe I should keep playing,” he concluded. We hope this is the start of Blizzard adopting more effective and prompt action against players that harass or cause issues in-game. Asmongold and other well-known streamers might be what the firm needs to start paying attention to their problems.
