Trainers who play Pokemon Go on Reddit are skeptical that Niantic genuinely boosted the chances of finding a Shiny Pokemon during the An Instinctive Hero event. Recently, Pokemon Go has provided players access to various events. Three of which center on the gym leader for each of the game’s four teams.
The most recent of the three, titled An Instinctive Hero, centers on Team Instinct and Spark, who serves as the team’s leader. The official blog post published by Niantic said that they would increase the percentage of shiny Pokemon that could be hatched from sure eggs. However, players are still determining whether this feature was implemented.
Trainers of Pokemon Go don’t believe Niantic’s claims that they increased the number of shiny Pokemon
A user named TEFAlpha9, a fan of Pokemon Go, recently posed the topic of whether or not the Shiny odds boost is currently operational in a post on the subreddit known as The Silph Road.
They asked, “Is this true as I’m not seeing any report of increased shiny rates from hatches,” which led them to believe that the statement was not accurate. Also, the event page claims that the likelihood of hatching a Shiny version of a Pokemon. And from an egg at a distance of 2 kilometers, 5 kilometers, or 10 kilometers would be boosted.
In addition, other trainers responded to the remarks as quickly as they could and shared their perspectives on the matter. “Yeah, and the bad news is that it’s probably not true. One commenter responded by saying, “Niantic has not given us any reason to believe that it’s true.” Another user wrote, saying, “Unlikely to be genuine. They have been discovered lying on multiple occasions.”
Others, on the other hand, believe that the Shiny bonus has only been marginally strengthened. “What I mean is that it doesn’t mention how much more they charged. A user responded: “From 1 in 500 to 1 in 499 is an increase, although you won’t notice it.”
