Trainers who use Pokemon Go are sick of seeing the same wild Pokemon emerge repeatedly and want Niantic to introduce some variation. Recently, the Pokemon Go community has voiced their discontent with the smartphone game, and many players have demanded adjustments to critical features like Gyms and Raids.
It becomes evident that the community wants Niantic to change things up to avoid boredom, given reports that player participation in events like raids is declining as of April 2023. Players are now complaining that the same wild Pokemon spawns appear every day, and they believe it’s time for the developer to vary up the heated Pokemon pool to boost interest.
Trainers in Pokemon Go demand more wild spawns
The community took notice of a post on the Pokemon Go subreddit when the author (OP) lamented “seeing the same Pokemon for months.” “Niantic needs to change the spawns of Pokemon more frequently,” they continue. I’ll go insane if I see a dove one more time. The same Pokemon is present everywhere. Therefore, there is no longer any sense in accessing the app.
However, they weren’t the only trainers who felt this way, as the post received nearly 2,000 upvotes and more than 300 comments from other trainers. One supporter screamed, “YUNGOOS HAS BEEN IN THE SPAWN POOL FOR OVER A YEAR NOW, PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TAKE IT OUT,” and another added, “I live in an incredibly rural region, and I feel like all I see are Pidove and Weedle—each day.
One trainer observed that different Pokemon are visible on the game’s loading screen but not while playing. “I’ve only ever seen Growlithe on the loading screen… Instead of “generic bird Pokemon from Gen XYZ,” give me some decent dudes to catch. Others suggested an alternative fix for the issue of constantly seeing the same Pokemon. “I wish they would quit generally curating the spawns. In the video game, there are hundreds of Pokemon. Give all mons (aside from mythic and legendaries) a chance to spawn (a reduced chance for evolutions) and link them to the weather for higher rates. While some trainers have noted that playing at several locations daily can help alleviate the issue, only some trainers can easily do that. These unchanging wild Pokemon spawns are here to stay until something is changed.
