Police Called to House of League of Legends Player Over Excessive Shouting During Rated Game

A League of Legends player said that after shouting excessively loudly during a pretty furious-rated game, the police were called to the scene. Players must have quick reflexes, sound strategy, and mechanical prowess to play League of Legends at their best. League games frequently demand a player’s whole focus, and winning a match can take up to 40 minutes of concentration.

Players in League can become quite agitated due to the intense nature of the game, with shouting and flaming being a constant of any rated game. This is taken even further when the stakes are higher, such as when a player participates in promotional games or finishes their provisionals. However, one player took the intensity a step further. As they claimed that after finishing the first game of their Platinum promos, the police were called to their house.

UnleashedMythic, a Reddit user, overdid it when playing Platinum promotions. They began chanting obnoxiously at the game and their team after they were engrossed in the intense stakes of the contest. Thankfully, they were successful in winning the game.

After an intense game, Legend of Legends players checks in with the police

Our squad had a bad start to the first game of my Platinum promotion with some early blunders. This tipped me, and the extreme intensity of the scenario caused me to scream. By a wide margin, we triumph in the game. Sadly, someone in the neighborhood mistakenly believed that a domestic argument was happening at their residence because of their frantic screaming. “I hear a knock on the door all of a sudden. Look outside, and you’ll see that the neighborhood police are inspecting the house’s exterior. As soon as I step outside. Three police officers begin questioning me about what’s happening and whether a marital conflict is happening inside or something far more sinister.

Mythic was embarrassed and told the police nothing was happening. But they still decided to search the house just in case. Mythically expressed regret to the policemen for “taking unnecessary police resources for something as minuscule as this.” Despite the unpleasant circumstance, Mythic posted about it on Reddit as a friendly reminder not to take League too seriously.
