Respawn Entertainment Deploys Fix for Major Audio and VFX Issues in Apex Legends Season 16
The creator of Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment, informed the community that a hotfix had been distributed for the game’s “major” audio and visual effects problems, affecting Season 16. The developer, Respawn Entertainment. Indeed has a lot on its plate behind the scenes as it prepares for Apex Legends Season 17.
On the other hand, the community has not stopped venting its annoyance over the game’s current state. In particular, many players have brought attention to the myriad of audio problems plaguing the battle royale mode. Now, Respawn has verified that they have put out a fix to solve the “major” audio and VFX issues that fans have experienced during Season 16. These issues have been present for the entirety of Season 16.
Apex Legends has implemented a fix for “major” respawn and audio issues
On April 26, 2023, confirmation was posted to the official Twitter account for Respawn. Which stated, “A fix has been deployed for major audio, and VFX drops seen since the launch of Season 16.”
Respawn goes on to explain that the development team understands the player community’s frustration. And admits that “while this won’t resolve all audio and visual concerns” that players have voiced. The development team is “dedicated to improving awareness on the battlefield.”
Respawn has confirmed that the Season 16 update is “live now” for gamers to go and download. This information is provided for people who need clarification on whether the update was still in the works or was already live. The post was welcomed with a largely positive response from the community. Including positive feedback from streamers and content makers that play Apex Legends.
After confirming that Respawn was looking into the audio issues the day before the fix was applied, NICKMERCS reacted to the tweet with a series of W’s to show his appreciation. He also stated that Respawn was looking into the audio issues. A fellow Apex content producer by the name of HisWattson said, “Thank you for your transparency and communication.”
Even though Respawn has stated that this patch will not resolve all of the audio problems plaguing Apex Legends, players may still hope that the experience will become more streamlined in time for the imminent launch of Season 17.
