The popularity and financial success of video game movies and adaptations for television have always remained the same. To begin, the television series The Last of Us on HBO shattered records for the streaming service. The Super Mario Bros. film has become unstoppable at the box office, where it has broken many records.
As a direct consequence of this, a significant number of other gaming firms and intellectual properties are attempting to model their success after that of these brands. The popular Crash Bandicoot video game series is the most recent one to drop hints about a potential animation adaptation. While it’s true that Mario is the most well-known representative of the Nintendo brand, one might make the case that Crash best represents the PlayStation. In recent years, the iconic mascot has been reimagined after having dominated the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 consoles market.

Toys For Bob, the business developing the upcoming videogame Crash Team Rumble, recently posted a tweet to promote the game in which they expressed their desire to see Crash and his friends converted into an animated movie. “In light of the plumber boy’s phenomenal success in the movies, we believe it is high time for Crash to make his debut in the theater! What say you, @SonyAnimation?”
The comment part of the tweet is wholly taken up by fans pleading with Sony to produce the movie. An individual user tweeted, “Me, a grown-ass man, pushing kids out of the way to get my ticket first.” Another devotee of the series offered the following advice: “Do it! There should have been a movie or cartoon series based on Crash a LONG time ago! Even though this is just a rumor and a hint at this point, we will keep you updated if Sony or Toys for Bob speak out more regarding the possibility of a Crash Bandicoot animated movie in the future.
