Baldur’s Gate 3’s Unusual Romantic Encounter with a Bear Stuns Audience and Internet
Baldur’s Gate 3’s sexual romantic scene starring a bear surprised both the internet and their live audience, according to the game’s developer, Larian Studios. RPG lovers are ecstatic about the arrival of Baldur’s Gate 3 on August 31, 2023, for the PC and September 6, 2023, for the PlayStation 5.
The Panel from Hell, a four-hour live stream held by the game’s creator, Larian Studios, in advance of the scheduled release, included a ton of fresh in-game footage and explained some recurring mechanics. The development team demonstrated a few of the video game’s romantic and love scenes during the panel. However, one of those racy sequences showed the protagonist having a sexual encounter with a bear, shocking both the internet and a poor in-game squirrel.
The animal romance scene in Baldur’s Gate 3 astounds the audience
The Larian dev team gave a small preview of how romance possibilities in BG3 might pan out in the middle of the “Panel from Hell” webcast. A Dragonborn protagonist is shown going on a first date with Karlach. One of the game’s companions, in the game’s first romance scene. Following their date with Karlach, Larian chose to showcase “another side of the spectrum” for the romance in the game. With this particular scene, though, they decided to let the public and the online chat guide their decisions.
This time, the player character, Astarion, has a romantic relationship with Druid Halsin. Halsin loses control as things get hot and heavy and unintentionally transforms into a bear. Halsin apologizes after reverting to his regular shape. Before the next option appeared, Swen Vincke of Larian said the studio was “All about choice and consequences.” Naturally, the player chose the first option: “Don’t apologize. I enjoy it. As many would have predicted, the first option was instantly selected by chat and the live audience, resulting in the protagonist making out with Halsin in his bear form. Fortunately, the movie playfully transitioned to a nearby squirrel chewing an acorn. Before dropping it in amazement at what was happening before things took a too-odd turn.
The stream portion received various online responses, including shock, perplexity, and everything. The following statements were made: “Furries are eating good, I guess,” and “Every day, we stray further from God.” Michael Douse, the studio’s Director of Publishing, revealed that Larian Studios was also banned from TikTok due to the video.
