Crash Team Rumble Rumors: Spyro the Dragon Characters Possibly Joining the Roster

If recent rumors are accurate, users of Crash Team Rumble may soon get access to an expanded roster that includes characters from the Spyro the Dragon franchise. A long-standing partnership between two of gaming’s most recognizable symbols would be reignited. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon have appeared in cameo roles in each other’s video games for over twenty years. The two have enjoyed a good relationship throughout their time together, from the days of unlocking secret PS1 demos to the more recent inclusion of Spyro in a kart in the Crash Team Racing remake.

Activision has taken over the management of both of these licenses at this time. Toys For Bob, the company responsible for developing Crash Team Rumble, has been putting in much effort to get the new 4v4 online multiplayer game ready for release. Additional content is currently being developed because the game is a live service. A leak gives the impression that the content above will feature a purple dragon and several well-known allies.

Spyro was among the characters from Crash Team Rumble that were leaked

The cast of characters now available in Crash Team Rumble includes familiar faces like Crash Bandicoot, Dingodile, and N.Brio, amongst others. These are names and faces that have made a significant number of appearances in Crash games during the franchise’s existence.

A person named Ifxfa on Reddit believes that a data mine has provided fans of Spyro and Crash with reasons to be excited. They announced that “Spyro, Ripto, and Elora were found in the Crash Team Rumble files,” as evidence, they displayed a photo containing a long list of upcoming material. The picture also featured Spyro, Ripto, and Elora. In case you are less well-versed in the annals of Spyro history than others, Ripto is one of the franchise’s most iconic villains who Spyro has clashed with on more than one occasion. At the same time, Elora is a buddy of everyone’s favorite purple dragon, Spyro.

There is a hint of the male version of N.Trophy arriving as well, in addition to the additions about Spyro, given that there has been both a male and female version of the character throughout the series canon.

Players of Crash Team Rumble will be on the edge of their seats as they wait to find out which characters will be added next. We have it on good authority that the upcoming season of Crash Team Rumble will have “new Heroes” for players to utilize.
