The community and the game’s player base have reacted differently to Riot Games’ recent announcement of the new Valorant Agent. Riot Games has unveiled Deadlock, the newest Valorant Agent. A Sentinel from Norway named Deadlock has skills that can hinder pushes and trap adversaries.
The Valorant community initially reacted to her in various ways, with many players discussing how she could change the meta and how her mechanics add new components to the game. Early reactions are focused on Annihilation, her ultimate ability, as supporters think it will result in free-round wins in clutches against opponents.
One of the players joked, “Imagine, bro, is planting the spike, and you just kidnap him with the bomb.” Ian ‘tex’ Botsch, a player for The Guard, questions whether Deadlock isn’t too powerful in 1v1 circumstances when her ultimate is accessible. In a 1v1, how can you defeat the Deadlock ult? Just save, or what?” he questioned
The Agent’s skills and how they might affect the standard of play also alarmed some other professional players.
TSM member Johann “Seven” Hernandez remarked, “This can’t be the same game we’ve been playing for the last three years.” What’s going on, man? Adil ‘ScreaM’ Benrlitom, a star of Karmine Corp, questioned.
Dom’soulcas’ Sulcas of Team Liquid added his thoughts on Deadlock and the most recent designs of some of the game’s more recent Agents.
He remarked, “Starting to hate these ults where you just have to sit there and accept death most of the time, and the video game just unplugs your keyboard.” Since its revelation, Deadlock’s ultimate power has generated a lot of discussions. However, some gamers have found the new Agent could have been more impressive regarding the rest of her toolkit.
Strong players respond to the Deadlock revelation
Riot Games’ latest Agent releases are sure to resonate with some fans thanks to the cast’s diverse nationalities. This time, Norway received some affection, and many players in this nation embraced her. Norwegian Valorant content creator Jonas ‘AverageJonas’ Navarsete commented, “Finally, an agent from my home country.”
However, one player from Norway, in particular, thought her accent was a little strange. Emir “rhyme” Muminovic, a professional player with the Giants, said, “She sounds everything but Norwegian. When the Agent becomes playable on June 27, fans can interact with Deadlock and create their own opinions about how she feels in Valorant.
