Riot Games’ Judgement: Dominatus Jade Suspended for Fielding Underage Player in Valorant Game Changers

Riot Games has issued a judgment about the APAC Game Changers team Dominatus Jade, and the organization and its roster have been suspended because they fielded a player who was just 13 years old. On June 13, Riot Games issued a judgment for the Asian-Pacific region organization known as Dominatus. Valorant Game Changers’ Dominatus Jade squad, which has competed in various competitions in Asia, including the APAC Game Changers Open series, has been suspended because the team fielded a player who was just 13 years old.

Riot stated in the judgment that the tournament promoter for the GC event, FSL, was informed that one of Dominatus Jade’s players was younger than 16. This went against Riot’s current regulation, which stipulates that players must be at least 16 to participate in officially sanctioned competitions. Following the inquiry into the incident, the members of Dominatus were requested to provide FSL identification to establish that they were all older than 16 years old. According to Riot, one player who went by “spy xii” could not give any documentation and ultimately acknowledged being 13 years old.

Riot has decided to remove the Valorant team and its members from the competition due to a rule breach

Riot has placed a permanent ban on both the Valorant organization as a whole and Dominatus as a result of the rule infringement. Every player who participated in the Game Changers event together with Spyxii has been disqualified for seven months. This includes the players known as “Sinoo,” “Bella,” “Chimochi,” and “Jean.” spy xii herself has not been legally suspended. Still, once they reach the age of 16, they will be eligible to compete in any Riot-sponsored Valorant competitions.

Dominatus, the entity itself, has been barred from participating in Game Changers competitions for seven months until October 13, 2023. Riot has placed the organization’s Challengers Indonesia squad on probation, which indicates that any additional rule infractions will “result in escalated penalties going forward.” Valo2asia says the squad is no longer active after completing the Game Changers APAC Open I on March 12.
