Bandai Namco announced on June 14 further specifics for the upcoming big Network Test for Tekken 8. The developers don’t pay any attention to the abbreviation for the name of the test, which players find so unbelievable that they can’t believe it. In Tekken 8, the Iron Fist Tournament—along with all of the glory that comes along with it—makes its triumphant return. Favorite characters from the past, such as King, Jin Kazama, and Hwoarang, will again appear on the players’ screens. Additionally, groundbreaking news has already announced that the series will be getting cross-play shortly.
However, the most recent news stories have been dominated by a very peculiar matter. Bandai Namco will receive necessary feedback about Tekken 8 through an upcoming Network Test, which will take place soon. However, the marketing staff should have given the event’s name and acronym their complete attention while coming up with them.
The name of the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test needs to be clarified
Even though it doesn’t quite spell out a particular word, it’s safe to say that the acronym for Tekken 8’s Closed Network test is, at the very least, a little unfortunate. The official Tekken 8 Twitter account invited anybody interested in trying out the game: “Join the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test and grab an early step into the ring! All combatants interested in getting a sneak preview of the game’s might and destruction can now register. However, the message’s prominent picture clearly indicated that changing the name of the Closed Network Test could have been beneficial.
A person on Twitter named Horizon Union made the sarcastic observation that “CNT just won’t be the same without U.” At the same time, another user added: “There has to be a better acronym?” Another amusing remark was made, which stated, “Forgot the ‘U.'” Since Bandai Namco hasn’t commented on the term, it was simply an amusing oversight on the part of the corporation. Regardless, the gameplay of Tekken 8 will undoubtedly get its chance to shine during the Closed Network Test, and fans of the game are eagerly awaiting the announcement of its release date.
