The Tree-Climbing Fan: Quest to Confirm Uzi’s Possible Joining of EDG in League of Legends
A League of Legends fan who was anxious to learn whether Uzi would be joining EDG after the Leave scandal even went so far as to climb a tree outside EDG’s training center to locate the legendary ADC player. Emotional support for favored teams and individuals among esports fans is a significant factor in the industry’s continued success. To learn more about some of their favorite athletes, these fans occasionally go a little too far.
One League of Legends player heard speculations that Hu ‘Leave’ Hong-Chao might be replaced by LPL legend Jian ‘Uzi’ Zi-Hao due to the scandal surrounding Hu’s future as an ADC player. This fan is said to have visited EDG’s training center, scaled a tree adjacent to one of their windows, and peered into their meeting space to confirm. Even stranger, it appears that he may have seen Uzi. Although Kang ‘TheSnake’ Guang, a temporary sub from EDG’s LDL squad, has been pushed up, rumors that Uzi is joining the team are still rampant. And the only thing that has fueled it is the possibility that the tree climber captured him on camera in their training facility.
Uzi may have been seen at the EDG offices by a tree climber
Despite never winning a Worlds championship, Uzi is one of the most well-known players from China and is recognized as one of the greatest players ever to play the video game.
Nevertheless, he decided to withdraw owing to health concerns and be present for his eldest kid. He was scheduled to participate in several events shortly and has grown significantly as a streamer in China. Many or all of these may be in danger if he resumes playing professionally. One of his fans who scaled a tree close to EDG’s training grounds may have seen Uzi and other group members.
A photo of someone who appeared to be Uzi was posted on Weibo, and it wasn’t until much later that a video of the claimed tree climber showing the towering tree next to the building’s window and then of him peeking into the office came to light. Many people have seen a tree that, in many ways, matches the location where the video was shot, leaving them to ponder whether or not this fan could have realistically scaled a tree and gotten a view into one of the windows of EDG’s headquarters.
Unsurprisingly, many ardent LPL supporters are thrilled to see Uzi make a comeback. Many people hope that Uzi will be returning alongside some Worlds-winning players, even if TheSnake being promoted to the main roster provides cause to assume he won’t be filling in just yet.
