Disgruntled Fans Voice Frustration as Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Release and Pokemon Home Compatibility Face Delays

After its latest postponement, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet fans expressed dissatisfaction with GameFreak, The Pokemon Company, and Pokemon Home’s release. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet fans have been waiting for Pokemon Home to add compatibility with the Generation 9 games since they were released on November 18, 2022, for quite some time.

Pokemon Home would finally support Scarlet & Violet transfers on May 24, 2023, according to a tweet from the official Pokemon Twitter account on May 18, 2023. The Pokemon Company regrettably deleted this information the next day, confirming that the release date is still a mystery. With Pokemon Home’s debut, GameFreak’s development, and The Pokemon Company in general, fans have now gone to social media to express their anger and displeasure.

Pokemon fans express their displeasure over the Home delay

The Pokemon community responded via social media sites all over the internet, and many of them reacted to Pokemon’s tweet announcing the delay. Fans listed several Pokemon-related setbacks from recent months as the cause of their displeasure. I’ll say it: Anyone who argues for this… In addition to the problems with the main game already, there were issues with the Tera raid for Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, the previous Tera raid for Great Tusk and Iron Treads, this error, and possibly more that I can’t think of.

Others merely reacted in order to express their lack of faith. Comments like “Just trash it,” “This sh*t is never coming out,” and “Actually pathetic” were common responses to the delay tweet. The news was also posted in a number of postings on subreddits dedicated to Pokemon, where fans also commented on it.

One supporter claimed, “Gamefreak and the Pokemon Company are trying their very hard to become the most dishonest game developers around.”

Another gamer noted that Pokemon’s fame makes incidents like this more difficult to accept. “To be completely honest, I find it more difficult to defend them at this point. Raids can’t release their dates correctly when they contain game-crashing problems. The most prominent media franchise in the world should not tolerate it. The public’s perception of the IP has reached an all-time low due to issues with Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and the mobile game Pokemon Go.
